Welcome to Day 14 of the I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION series on self-love.

And here we are, on the day we most associate with love - 'Valentine's Day'

Giving love is one of the most courageous acts we can perform. It takes strength, confidence and courage to allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to offer love to another, because love can sometimes lead to rejection or pain. But when love is pure and offered without the burden of reciprocity, it is the purest form of self-expression and the most rewarding feeling in the world.

Take a deep breath in. Feel your breath fill your heart. Feel it travel throughout your body, making you feel warm and filled with pure joy. Repeat today's mantra: I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO LOVE. I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO LOVE. I have the courage to love unconditionally. I have the courage to offer my heart and soul unreservedly. I offer love easily and without fear. I am worthy of love. I am worthy of love.

Love takes many forms. As children, we experience the unconditional love of our parents. As parents, we begin to realize just how profound a love that can be. If you are lucky enough to have a partner in your life, you may know this in different ways. But love is not limited to those in our families - either the ones we are born with or the ones we choose.

We can offer love to our neighbours, our pets, our friends, ourselves.

Today, I invite you to begin there. Love yourself, unconditionally, unreservedly. Love yourself with all your heart.

Be brave enough to offer your love and be open to receiving it in return - because you are worthy of love.

May your day be filled with joy, and the knowledge that you are loved.

With all my love.
