I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION - TO LIVE IN KINDNESS

Welcome to Day 18 of the I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION on self-love.

Today, I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO LIVE IN KINDNESS.

So, apparently yesterday was International 'Random Acts of Kindness' Day. That sounds like a nice thing, doesn't it? I just have a couple of issues with that title. Firstly - Random. Random suggests that, if I am moved in the moment, than I will show someone kindness. Without planning or forethought, if I see an opportunity then I will act accordingly. It makes me feel like, if it's convenient...

Which brings me to my second issue - Act. Do I really want to 'act' kind? Doesn't this suggest that I'm adopting a fictitious character who is temporarily behaving kind? It's great to have a day that reminds us of the importance of kindness, but I want to encourage you to find it in your heart to LIVE IN KINDNESS, today and everyday.

Take a deep breath in. Placing your hand over your heart, feel your breath. Feel your chest rise and fall with each breath. Feel your heart beating. Repeat today's mantra: I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO LIVE IN KINDNESS. I GIVE MYSELF PERMISSION TO LIVE IN KINDNESS. I easily find it in my heart to offer kindness to all that I meet. I know that everyone is experiencing a journey that I cannot see. I know that, regardless of our differences, everyone deserves my gentleness and my respect. I promise to love myself today. I promise to be kind with myself today - and to share that kindness with the world.

I think that we can all agree that the world needs more kindness. Sharing kindness is like planting wildflowers. Even if you think that your seeds are small, before you know it, the beauty is spreading far and wide.

Today, breathe in deeply, and hold kindness in your heart, for yourself and those around you. Kindness is not an act. It is a gift of love, a gift of joy in its purest form. Live each day at your deepest level of authenticity. Live each day in kindness - and watch how quickly you make the world a happier place to be.

With love.

Namaste
